Any effort that results in business improvement should begin with a definition of the problem and an assessment to validate that definition, identification of a root cause, and design of a solution architecture. With an agreement on an implementation plan that meets your budget and needs, Absolute employs the particular methodology, solution or tool that is most appropriate, drawing from our well stocked tool chest.
Many lean or continuous improvement initiatives fail because no bottom line savings result, or service or delivery doesn't improve as expected. Absolute has a methodology that prevents these disappointments and puts the management team in tight control of results.
Your plant manager left, was invited to leave, or is assigned to a special project and you need help. Absolute has experienced managers that can step in with very little warm-up and keep things rolling while you take the time to find the right person for the job. Or, our manager can work along side your newly promoted manager and provide mentoring and coaching.
The benefits of lean have been enjoyed for years in the manufacturing environment. Absolute offers two programs to adapt the best from lean and implement the principles in your office, and we teach how to sustain the improvements and strive for more savings.
Why not sit down with a professional and discuss it? One might define a big mistake as not taking action, and missing the answer. And, one might define a small mistake as spending an hour or two and not finding the right help. Which type mistake would you rather make?

Do you feel like you are on a "burning platform?"
The term “burning platform” has been a mainstay in business lexicon for many years. For those not familiar with its origin, the story goes something like this:
A man working on an oil platform in the North Sea was awakened suddenly one night by an explosion. Amidst the chaos, he made his way to the edge of the platform. As a plume of fire billowed behind him, he decided to jump from the burning platform even though jumping was a risky option for the following reasons:
Luckily, the man survived the jump and was hauled aboard a rescue boat shortly thereafter. When asked why he jumped, he replied, “Better probable death than certain death.” The point is the literally “burning” platform caused the radical change in his behavior.
Business Process Improvement
Davenport (1993) defines a (business) process as
”a structured, measured set of activities designed to produce a specific output for a particular customer or market. It implies a strong emphasis on how work is done within an organization, in contrast to a product focus’s emphasis on what. A process is thus a specific ordering of work activities across time and space, with a beginning and an end, and clearly defined inputs and outputs: a structure for action. ... Taking a process approach implies adopting the customer’s point of view. Processes are the structure by which an organization does what is necessary to produce value for its customers.”
If you can't see the benefit to your customer of all your activities or you find that your functional departments spend more time battling each other than serving the customer, contact Absolute for a free assessment.
Also feel free to contact Absolute about our other services.
