The leadership of Absolute Engieering & Consulting, LLC has been on the firing line as a manager and executive and made the decisions needed to change the paradigm. Couple that with 13 years experience at both a small consulting firm implementing continuous improvement and large consulting firm with a powerful methodology for process and culture change and the pieces are in place to help you determine the issues needing resoultion and provide the know-how and methods to get results.
The principle of Absolute Engineering & Consulting, LLC is also a Certified Mentor at TechTown, a business incubator in Detroit. Mentors are not paid as they assist start-up companies trying to bring jobs and development to Michigan. TechTown, Detroit’s research and technology park, was established in 2000 when Wayne State University, General Motors and the Henry Ford Health System convened to create an engine of economic growth with both local and statewide impact. TechTown stimulates job growth and small-business creation by developing companies in emerging high-technology industries including advanced engineering, life sciences and alternative energy.
Also through TechTown, the principle has become a certified facilitator for the FastTrac Tech Venture, New Venture, and First Step programs. FastTrac was developed by the Ewing Kauffman Foundation to assist entreprenuers in getting their business defined and started.

Who we are
Curtis Petterson President
Curt has been a business improvement consultant since 1996. In that time he has worked with companies as diverse as Wirtz Manufacturing, Boston Scientific, General Motors, Textimax, SA, and the US Navy to improve design and development and manufacturing processes utilizing lean principles, continuous improvement, managing with metrics, and driving results with a top down change management approach.
Prior to 1996, he was CEO in a turn around situation. In three years he had 8 times the starting backlog at double the profit margin. He also decreased manufacturing cost 18% , doubled shipments and cut both warranty costs and inventory by half. Prior to that he was VP-GM of a machinery design & build company. There he instituted a continuous improvement program that empowered the managers, built teamwork, improved on-budget performance by over 50 percent, and stressed coaching and better management practices and joint problem solving.
